Yale Laboratory Medicine faculty, including Drs. Jeanne Hendrickson, George Hauser, Thomas Binns and Nalan Yurtsever, attended the Domestic Steering Committee meeting for REDS-IV-P held April 29th-May 1st in Bethesda, MD. Yale is one of four hubs involved in REDS, a multisite project aiming to improve transfusion practices in the pediatric population. REDS-IV-P stands for Recipient Epidemiology and Donor Evaluation Study-IV-Pediatric. It is funded by the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute (NHLBI).
